Rev Indy’s Red Carpet Essentials
Here in Indianapolis, we celebrate the Indianapolis 500 throughout the entire month of May. A kickoff party, a mini marathon, a family day festival, a parade and more. There’s something for everyone, including fans that want to dress up and enjoy a night of fun, eating and drinking at the track. Rev Indy celebrated its 10th year alongside honorary chair and winner of the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500 Alexander Rossi and celebrity chef Kelsey Murphy, winner of “MasterChef”.
Since its beginning, Rev has raised more than $6 million for statewide trauma and critical care programs. As IU Health Foundation’s largest annual fundraiser, these funds provide care for drivers and patrons at the IU Health Emergency Medical Center located at Indianapolis Motor Speedway and for patients across Indiana in need of critical care.
We caught a few drivers from this year’s field to chat about a must have for events like Rev – their watches.
Alexander Rossi
Alexander was wearing his TAG Heuer Autavia Automatic Watch (also a Race Weekend Essential for Alexander). He’s partnered with Tag Heuer since 2016 and is a massive fan of the brand.
Tony Kanaan
TK sported a Richard Mille watch, a team sponsor. He loves the uniqueness, the light weight and the fact that its carbon fiber – a nod to racing. His other must have for events like Rev? His Indy 500 Championship Ring!
Ed Carpenter
Ed, like many of us, sports the same watch everyday. His trusted Garmin 745 has proved itself time and again.
Felix Rosenqvist
Felix was ready to sport his tux to the event, but when he forgot his shirt, he opted for a simple suit. His watch? A Rolex, a watch sure to dress up any suit. Another travel essential for Felix: his AirPods.
Graham Rahal
Graham’s choice for the night was a Audemars Piguet watch, one that he’s had forever. His day-to-day watch is his Garmin Fenix that his wife Courtney Force bought him for Christmas years ago.
