PIT PASS INDY– SEASON 2, EPISODE 49 – Hy-Vee Executive Chairman and Executive Director Randy Edeker and Penske Corporation President Bud Denker

December 6, 2022

Pit Pass Indy Host Bruce Martin has an exclusive interview with Hy-Vee Executive Chairman and Executive Director Randy Edeker and Penske Corporation President Bud Denker regarding next season’s blockbuster doubleheader weekend at Iowa Speedway.

Both Edeker and Denker, along with Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds, helped revive Iowa Speedway by combining an aggressive mix of back-to-back races surrounded by four major music acts. In 2023, Carrie Underwood will perform before the Saturday race and the Kenny Chesney concert is after the race. Sunday includes the Zac Brown Band before the race and Ed Sheeran after the race. Each pre-race concert will be 60 minutes and each post-race concert is 90 minutes.

Tickets went on sale on Monday, December 5. Single-day tickets start at $100 and go up to $225. Two-day ticket packages begin at $190 and go up to $440.

Single-day tickets include two full concerts and a full NTT IndyCar Series race. For more information, go to https://www.hyveeindycarweekend.com/buy-tickets/ticket-prices

In Bruce Martin’s exclusive interview for Pit Pass Indy, Edeker and Denker explain why the Hy-Vee INDYCAR Race Weekend is more than a race, it’s the sporting event of the year in Iowa. They also explain why tickets have increased over last year, to make it a memorable weekend at Iowa Speedway on July 22-23.

In the world of racing, "Penske" means performance ... and winning. For good reason. Since 1966, Team Penske has won 44 national championships, 17 IndyCar alone. And last year, Team Penske recorded its second-straight NASCAR Cup Series championship and won its record 19th Indianapolis 500. Those are results that are tough to top.
